This explains what TwinTrader collects, why it needs it, and what it will never do. It is written to be read, not to hide behind.
Who we are
TwinTrader is an automated execution tool. It reads the Discord channels you choose and places the matching trades in your own brokerage account. It does not mirror anyone’s portfolio, pool your money, or manage your account for you. In this policy, “we” means TwinTrader and “you” means the person using it.
What we collect
- Account details. The email address you sign up with, and your settings.
- Brokerage connection. You link your own brokerage through SnapTrade. We receive a connection token from SnapTrade so we can place the orders you asked for and read your positions and balances. We never receive or store your brokerage password.
- Discord messages. For the channels you select, we read messages so we can work out the trade behind them. We store the messages we act on and the reasoning behind each decision, so you can audit what your bot did and why.
- Trading records. The signals we read, the orders we placed, their fills, and their outcomes.
- Basic technical data. Logs and error reports needed to keep the service running.
How your caller’s messages are used
Message text from the channels you select is sent to an AI model so it can be turned into a structured trade instruction. Only the channels you tick are read. Messages from people you have not chosen to follow are logged as ignored and are not acted on. TwinTrader never posts, replies, reacts, or types as you in Discord. The connection is read only.
What we never do
- We never withdraw, transfer, or move money out of your brokerage account. We cannot.
- We never see or store your brokerage password.
- We never sell your data, your trades, or your caller’s messages to anyone.
- We never post as you on Discord.
Who we share data with
Only the providers we need to run the service: SnapTrade (brokerage connectivity), our hosting and database providers, our AI model provider (for reading message text), and market data providers. Each receives only what it needs to do its job. We also disclose data where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Trading records are kept while your account is open, because you need them and because financial records must be auditable. If you delete your account we remove your personal data and disconnect your brokerage and Discord connections. Some records may be retained where we are legally required to keep them.
Your choices
You can disconnect Discord or your brokerage at any time, and you can delete your account. You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us at the address on the contact page.
Security
Connections are encrypted in transit. Tokens are stored encrypted. Access to production data is limited to the people who need it to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your data.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will tell you before the change takes effect.
